Program

CIHEAM Bari is looking for innovation players (start-ups, spin-offs, innovative companies, project ideas promoted by groups of researchers and a network of professionals) for the Open Innovation program of the #Sustainable Regeneration Project, developed in collaboration with Almacube, an incubator certified by the Ministry of Economic Development and within the framework of the research and development project: “Sustainable regeneration of agriculture in territories affected by Xylella fastidiosa”.

The objective of the program is to foster exchange of knowledge contamination and promote technological innovation, developing solutions that respond to the Innovation Challenges proposed by companies in the open innovation community built during the “Sustainable Regeneration” Project.

The selected innovation players will have the opportunity to get in touch with the entrepreneurial realities of the area, receive training and mentoring for product development, develop innovative Solution Concepts responding to the Innovation Challenges and activate collaboration contracts aimed at the realization of Proof of Concept at the end of the path (see the calendar of activities for further details).

Timeline

From 09/10/23
To 24/11/23

APPLICATION

Innovation players can apply by filling out the online application form by clicking on the “APPLY HERE” button.

From 24/11/23
To 17/12/23

1st SELECTION

Selections will be held to select 10 innovative realities (2 for each company) who will meet with SMEs to learn more about the selected Projects.

From 18/12/23
To 29/12/23

2nd SELECTION

In-depth meetings will be held between the SMEs involved in the initiative and the pre-selected Projects. At the conclusion, a maximum of 5 projects considered most valuable will be selected, thus admitted to the Acceleration and Co-Design program.

From 24/01/24
To 29/03/24

ACCELERATION & CO-DESIGN

5 selected realities will participate in the acceleration and co-design program with SME and CIHEAM Bari contact persons. Hybrid work teams will be formed led by an Innovation Coach who will facilitate the meetings and guide the team in the use of Design Thinking. The expected weekly commitment for participants is 2-4 hours.

To 05/04/24

INNOVATION DAY & PROOF OF CONCEPT

The selected realities will present a technical / commercial proposal for the adoption of the innovative technology in the SME supply chain. At the end of the Program, the small and medium enterprises involved by CIHEAM Bari will evaluate with the help of the organizer the solutions that emerged and, at their own discretion, will reserve the right to propose collaboration contracts for the realization of Proof of Concept to one or more of the Innovation Players involved.
